Busy Town

I purchased Busy Town for Christmas as one of many of my impulse buys for Slugger. I had never even heard of the game, and had no reviews or feedback to go by. (this is where my husband would say "pity!", and "shame on you!" Haha! We always try to purchase things with positive reviews so we aren't left with a dud and wasted money.) This has turned out to be one of his favorite games! It's a mixture of "Where's Waldo", counting, and learning to take turns. I absolutely love this game for kids!

Reading Rockets

Have you heard of Reading Rockets? If not, start searching them out now! I was lucky enough to stumble across their website this evening and they have me more than excited! What they offer is literacy bag kits. They give you a downloadable set of instructions, crafts, a book list and survey at the end to fill out. Everything goes in a 2 gallon ziplock bag. Their booklist looks impressive and I am heading out tomorrow to gather all books and supplies needed for "Slugger" to have these all at arms reach! With baby #3 due soon, I am trying to get as many lessons and activities prepared for him (and "Miss Bean" his sister) as I can so they aren't at risk for losing their school lessons with all the craziness going on around them. I will do a follow up post after we have done a few of these and let you know my review!

A Great Big Welcome!

Hello! This blog has been a long time coming. I've deleted posts, posted posts, and deleted them again simply because I want this blog to be the very best blog you can find for all your homeschool needs! If you're reading this, I truly hope you become a follower of mine and frequently stop in for a visit! My goal is to share what we do as a homeschool family and encourage those of you out there homeschooling, or considering homeschooling to realize you can be and are the very best teachers for your kids! And if you don't homeschool, that's okay! I hope you find activities here that you will do with your children! So, strap those creative hats on and let's travel this journey together!
