Our Weekly "Book Bag" Lessons

Each week, the kiddos and I will pay a visit to our local library. We'll grab some books (some of my choice, some the kids will pick out on their own) and I'll create lessons and activities that go with the theme of the books we've picked. This week, I went by myself. I had to update our library card, and my pregnant body didn't feel up to chasing a 17 1/2 month old adventurous little girl and an "almost 4 in October" little boy with staples in his head (ouch....we had an accident. A simple game of "hide and run from sister" turned into "slicing our head on the metal bracket under our bed" activity which resulted in getting 3 staples put in!!! AGH!!!!!) So, I made the executive decision on the books this week. I'll post MY PERSONAL review of each book, the lessons and activities we did for each book, and the reviews of my kids. Hopefully this will give you some fun ideas to do with your own children!
